Your Best Year Ever

What would it take to make this your best year ever in terms of personal and professional well-being?  It might be easier than you think...

Jeanne Welcomes You
Have you ever noticed how relaxed and refreshed everyone seems at the start of the school year?
And no wonder!  During the summer, teachers and school personnel often take the time to eat well, get exercise, and reconnect with good friends. The results - better health, more energy, greater resilience - can continue all year long.  The trick, of course, is to maintain these positive behaviors despite the demands of teaching and all the extra duties that go with it.  The truth is, self-care keeps you healthy and happy, inspires your students and encourages your colleagues!

Here are a couple of simple suggestions to get you started on a year of dynamic health and fulfillment.

Create a S.M.A.R.T. plan.
You wouldn't think of teaching your classes without a curriculum in place!  A carefully constructed sequence of steps makes your work easier and lets you know when you are on track.  The same holds true for creating and maintaining positive health habits.  Adequate exercise, healthy eating and stress management practices don't just happen.  They require planning. Fortunately, you don't need a complex curriculum to maintain a healthy lifestyle.  You do need to set goals that are manageable, fun, and provide quick results.  Click here to learn more how  S.M.A.R.T. Goals can start working for you today.

Do what you love and flourish.
Scientific research has finally confirmed what many of us have already figured out - doing what you love is good for your health!  Make sure to include some of your favorite health habits when you plan your schedule.  For example, walking my dog, enjoying fruit, and reading for pleasure are a few self-care activities that put a smile on my face and a spring in my step.  How about you?

Get Support
Some of your students sail through their studies without breaking a sweat.  Others, who are just as bright and motivated, can only reach their potential with your assistance or the help of a tutor.  The right help at the right time makes the difference between academic success and failure.

Isn't your health and well-being just as important?  Imagine how easy it will be to create a lifetime of vitality, equanimity, and stamina when you have the benefit of expert guidance and encouragement.  Don't let lack of support derail you from achieving maximum health and well-being.

focuses on stress management, healthy eating, and enjoyable physical activity as gateways to personal and professional fulfillment.
